Pest Control that Fits Your Needs
PacWest Exterminators is pleased to offer both one-time and ongoing pest control services for our friends and neighbors in Anaheim. We tend to recommend our ongoing pest control services if you are struggling to combat populations of ants, spiders, cockroaches, fleas, and crickets. These are the most basic, local, crawling insects that respond well to our ongoing treatments – so well, in fact, that we guarantee that these insects will be controlled on this service.
The benefits of ongoing service include the fact that many types of insects will be treated throughout the year as we rotate what chemicals we use during that time. We are able to do preventative work in the colder months to make the summer months less susceptible to bug invasion. Ongoing service also balances out the cost of treatments, unlike if you were just trying to treat issues one treatment at a time. If you need additional treatment between our scheduled ongoing treatments, we’ll come to your home for a nominal trip fee.
Frequently Asked Questions
Why don’t you offer a quarterly pest service option?
Can you do pest control when I have a pet turtle/tortoise?
We avoid spraying areas where your pet spends significant time, as chemicals may be sensitive to turtles or tortoises. During winter or hibernation, we may treat these areas. In summer, we’ll need your help identifying where your pet spends time to keep them safe.
I have an exotic pet; can you do pest control for me?
Are your chemicals safe for kids and pets?
What about flying insect problems?
How long will it take to see the difference after the first treatment?
- Spiders, crickets, earwigs: results same day
- Roaches: improvement in ~1 week, full effect over several weeks
- Fleas: initial reduction, fully gone in 2–3 weeks
- Ants: colony reduction in 2–4 weeks; satellite colonies may collapse over time
Why would over-the-counter pest control products interfere with your treatment?
What is the difference between repellent and non-repellent chemicals?
- Repellent: Detectable by insects, kills quickly (5–60 min), creates a barrier, best for solitary insects
- Non-repellent: Undetectable, kills slowly (1–7 days), spreads to colony members, best for social or aggregating pests like ants
What type of bug is this?
- Earwig: Reddish-brown “pincher bugs,” near moisture
- Silverfish: Shiny, paper-eating insects in humid areas
- Paper Wasps & Mud Daubers: Solitary or social wasps, only a concern if nests are in high-traffic areas
- Pantry Pests: Meal moths, flour beetles, in stored foods
- Pharaoh Ants: Small orange/yellow, require non-repellent treatments
- Red Imported Fire Ants (RIFA): Aggressive, painful stings
- Brown Dog Tick: Blood-sucking, common near grasslands; Lyme disease vector
Can you treat for general pests inside my house while it is under construction?
Do you treat for bees?
Why don’t you treat the attic or crawl space, and why does it cost more?
Attic and crawl space treatments are optional because pests are uncommon there. Residual effects last longer, so this is a separate add-on. You can start with the basic service and add attic or crawl space treatment later if needed.
