Los Alamitos Pest Control

Los Alamitos was incorporated in 1960 and is a small city whose name means “the little Cottonwoods.” Los Alamitos is home to the USA Water Polo National Aquatic Center and the US Military Los Alamitos Joint Forces Training Base, where the Aquatic Center is housed. Its name was inspired by cottonwood groves that Spanish explorers saw here 200 years ago.

In the 1880’s Los Alamitos was sugar beet territory and a large sugar beet farm and processing site was located here. In 1921 the sugar beet industry failed due to economic pressures and severe insect infestations. During WWII and following the aircraft industry and the US military increased its presence in Los Alamitos and in surrounding communities. Due to this many military families have made a home here in this city.
