Norwalk Exterminator

Norwalk traces its history back to the 1870’s and the Sproul brothers who purchased the land in 1869. The railroad came through this land and the Sproul’s traded the railroads land in exchange for a railroad stop in 1873. The name is from the railroad crossing the North-walk into the area. It was largely an undeveloped area and the first real industry was a cheese factory in 1882. Dairy was the primary industry in the area at the turn of the century and sugar beets were a close second.

The floods of 1937, 1947, and 1959 were devastating and the city invested in large storm drains to protect future residents. In 1945, following the war, there was a rush of people to Norwalk and the population increased sevenfold and because of this explosion there was a drive to incorporate, which occurred in 1957. Today Norwalk is home to South Superior Court and to Five Points, a unique intersection of shopping. 

 

Cockroach and Spider Control
